Bystander- and Multiplicator Training for Student Initiatives

Student life is diverse in nature, yet, the opportunities for students to learn how to protect their fellow students, colleagues and friends from acts of discrimination are few and far between. The „Bystander- and Multiplicatortraining for Student Initiatives“ aims to fill this gap.

The project consists of three phases, starting with detecting daily encounters of discrimination in student initiatives. This will be followed up by a professional workshop, containing a Bystander Training, focussed on awareness and correct understanding of the terminology as well as practical ways and tools to handle instances of discrimination.

To ensure the multiplicator factor, the participants will reflect on the learned techniques and specify their implementation into the represented student initiatives, respectively. Additionally, the experience will be documented in a handbook, which can be distributed into student initiatives as an additional guideline for future reference.
