Freie Universität Berlin strives to continue supporting refugees and migrants:

Our new German courses (full year program from B1 to C1) start in August Application is now open until 13th of July. Information sessions are mandatory in order to apply. All information can be found here ->   

  • We offer intensive German Courses B1 to C1 on a annual basis. 
  • More information on German Courses and other offerings at Berlin's higher education institutions can be found here -> 
  • If you have questions regarding applying to a degree program at Freie Universität, please contact Info-Service Studium.
  • If you have questions regarding applying to the preparatory year (Studienkolleg), please read all the information on this site and adress any further questions you have to the Info-Service.
  • If you are a current participant of the Welcome-courses, please contact the organisers of the courses in case of questions.
  • In this list of the Studierendenwerk Berlin you can find preparatory and language courses offered by other universities and universities of applied sciences in Berlin and Brandenburg. 
  • The working group "Students, Scholars and Artists at Risk" serves as a platform for collegial exchange, networking, and the planning of joint activities. It meets regularly, at least once per semester, at one of the participating institutions. On this website you find offers for students, scholars and artists at risk.
