(1) Publishing a book generally involves being the sole author or a co-author of the entire book.
(2) Editorial work typically involves one or more editors publishing an anthology containing contributions from various authors.
Select the publication type “Buchveröffentlichung/Monografie“ (Monograph) or “Herausgabe eines Buchs/Sammelwerks” (Editorship book) from the drop-down menu.
Proceed to the entry form using DOI - or continue without DOI:
Please enter the book’s ISBN in the field if you know it. Clicking the “Suchen” (Search) button will automatically fill in the book’s name, place of publication, and publisher - except the authors or editors.
Enter the names (last name, first name) of all contributing authors or editors in the order and spelling specified in the publication using the button “Autor*in hinzufügen” (Add author). FU-Employees must be entered via “Suche FU-Beschäftigte” (Search for FU-Employees), while external authors” (professors emeriti, lecturers, visiting scholars/scientists, grant holders) must be entered via “Sonstige*n Autor*in hinzufügen” (Add other authors) or “Listenerfassung sonstiger Autor*innen” (Add several other authors).
In the title field, enter the title of the book. You can enter any subtitle in the “Untertitel” (Subtitle) field.
The year of publication must be entered as a four-digit number.
You can enter the edition of the book here in the “Auflage” (Edition) field (e.g., 2nd, fully revised edition).
The “Bandzählung” (Volume) field is intended for specifying the volume of a multi-volume work.
The place of publication and publisher can be found in the book (it’s not mandatory, simply leave the fields blank).
The page number of the book is included for the purpose of completeness of the bibliographic data.
Certain books are published as part of a series; should you be aware of the series, please enter it in the “Schriftenreihe” (Series) field (e.g., Schriften zur Rechtswissenschaft; Vol. 232).
If the contribution has (also) been published online, you can add the URL in the “URL” field.
Information about the language in which the article was written is required. You can select the language from the alphabetically sorted drop-down menu; the most commonly used languages are listed at the top of the list.
In the comments field, you can provide additional information or ask questions for the university bibliography.
