As part of the Dahlem Junior Host Program, the Dahlem Humanities Center supports scholars in the humanities at Freie Universität Berlin, who can invite external researchers for their research projects.

For this week, the Dahlem Junior Hosts Barbara Bausch, Anna Luhn, and Ansgar Riedißer organized a discussion with Georg W. Bertram titled „Literatur und die Freiheit des Verstehens.“ ( July 6, 2026, in German) and the workshop “Huh? Literary Incomprehensibility” (July 9–10, 2026).

In addition, Dahlem Junior Host Jan Lietz is inviting Professor Jill Walker Rettberg to give a lecture on “Dangerous narration. The rhetorical vices of AI-generated stories” (July 7, 2026), as well as Wolfgang Hottner, Andreas Rötzer, and Christoph Engemann for a discussion on “Die Zukunft der Gesamtausgabe. Publizieren in Zeiten von „KI“” (July 8, 2026).

We are also happy to announce that former DJHP participant Ana Nenadovic and her invited guest, Nicole King, have now published the book Rage in Caribbean Women's Writing with Cambridge University Press as the result of their joint research.
