Become a Volunteer at the International Club!

What is a Volunteer?

The role of a Volunteer is defined by their support of the ICFUB. This includes offering event ideas, organising events, participating in the internal communication and joining the bi-monthly Volunteer Meetings on a regular basis, if possible.

Who can become a Volunteer?

Any active student of the Freie Universitität Berlin may register to become a Volunteer at the ICFUB. This includes local, international Bachelor- and Master-students, equally.

How to become a Volunteer?

To become a Volunteer, you must register through our form down below.

Following your registration, you will be contacted to verify your contact data and identity. Upon verification, you will receive a message confirming your position as a Volunteer. This contains an invitation to the Volunteer-Community, giving you access to the relevant channels.
As a new Volunteer you are required to join the next Onboarding.

Volunteer-Certificate

If a Volunteer participates in the organisation of three events per semester, they are viable for a certificate.
To get a certificate, Volunteers have to fill out a form, available in the internal Volunteer Hub, and send it to the Board via e-mail. The responsible LEI-person will verify if all requirements are met, before signing it off. This step is necessary and cannot be skipped.
Upon verification, the LEI-person will send it to the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). The Volunteer will receive the certification by the DAAD directly to their FU-mailaddress.

Conclusion of Volunteer-Membership

A Volunteers membership will be concluded:

1) upon them resigning
2) upon exmatriculation
3) upon no activity within a semester

A Volunteers membership will be terminated:

4) upon the violation of our Rules & Regulations
5) upon the violation of the Code of Conduct

In case of reason 1) or 3) a former Volunteer may reregister at any point.
