you get to the detailed view of your applications and there you can use the button:

add more applications.

Please log in to the my.FU Portal. On the left side of the screen you can edit your personal data by clicking on the link in the registration portal of Freie Universität Berlin.

Changes to your personal data (name, address, date of birth) for DoSV applications are only possible via Hochschulstart.

If you have made an application (e.g. Pharmacy, Veterinary medicine) to hochschulstart.de for our university, you can access this application in the Freie Universität Berlin Application and Enrollment Portal by clicking the “My Applications” – “Personal Information” button and then the button:

to be able to view the status of this application.

Changes to your university entrance qualification data are only possible if none of your application(s) have been processed. In this case, you can make the change yourself within the application deadline. Please withdraw your application request(s), go to the overview page and click on the red pencil in the University Entrance Qualification field. Make sure to submit your application request within the application deadline, if you have withdrawn it.

If at least one application has a status other than “In preparation” or “Received Withdrawn”, you must send an email to zulassung@fu-berlin.de, if any changes need to be made to your university entrance qualification data. Please note that the country of your university entrance qualification is important for admission. If you wish to make changes to the county, this is not necessary.

No, only one application is permitted for the higher semester.

Log in to the Application and Enrollment Portal. Here you have the option of using the "Withdraw and edit application" button to edit the application within the application deadline and then submit it again.

You can withdraw your application at any time, however, you will not participate in the admission procedure.

If the status of your application is “Admission offer available,” simply do not accept the study place.

If the status of your application is “Admitted,” you can return the study place via the online enrollment feature in the Application and Enrollment Portal.

Please note: The study place will then no longer be available to you!

Please note that the application for a study place at Freie Universität Berlin is exclusively online and the application documents (depending on the application group) must be uploaded while filling out the online application (as a readable pfd. document or jpg,, properly rotated). This applies, among other things, to all applications for a master's degree, for a higher semester, for a second degree, with a special or additional application, and professionally qualified applicants.

Please inform yourself in advance on our application websites or the corresponding information pages of the departments for master's applications which application documents are required so that you can fill out and submit the online application quickly and easily.

Click “Add Application” to submit an application. You will then be directed to a page where you can enter the required information for your desired degree program. Required fields are marked with an *.
Please carefully review your information before submitting your application. By submitting an online application, you certify that all information provided is accurate and that you have been informed that providing false information will result in the admission being invalidated if you are offered a spot.

Please note that it is not possible to create a new application for the same program of study, including degree and semester. If you discover an error in an application you have already submitted, you can revise and resubmit it within the applicable deadline by clicking the “Withdraw and Edit Application” button. However, this is not possible for applications with the status “valid.” Valid applications cannot be revised by applicants. If you need to make an important change—for example, regarding your eligibility for university admission or master’s admission, the semesters you have completed, information about your previous studies, etc.— please contact us by email before the application deadline at zulassung@fu-berlin.de.

You can check your details from the online application at any time by having the control sheet output as a pdf file. It shows you the details of your application at a glance. You will need a pdf program (e.g. Adobe Acrobat) to do this.
The control sheet is recreated every time you make a change to an application and therefore always contains the most up-to-date data (depending on the time).
