Learn about the most important reference management programs and find out which one suits you best.
These courses are free for members of Freie Universität.
In addition, it may be helpful to attend the training session “How Do I Cite Correctly?” before participating. These course help you handle literature and sources confidently and professionally.

Citavi
Citavi, or Citavi Web, is a reference management program that requires a license and is available free of charge to members of Freie Universität Berlin (students, faculty, and staff).
To use the program, you need a computer running the Windows operating system. To take full advantage of its features, we recommend using a laptop or desktop PC.

Zotero
Zotero is a free reference management software and can be used as an alternative to Citavi or EndNote.
To take full advantage of its features, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer.
