The Practical Philosophy working area focuses on political philosophy, which includes theories of (global) justice, equality, democracy, human rights, and accountability. Another focus is on theories of the good life, ethics, and applied ethics.

In the journal "Critical Times" different schools of thought on critical theories in the humanities are presented. In this way, cultural exchange and new types of intellectual discourse are made possible across all borders, creating new perspectives.
