Panel Discussion with guests

As part of the opening day on Monday, 21 September, Thimo von Stuckrad (German Rectors Conference) will be part of the panel discussion about what it takes to promote sustainability in Higher Education and beyond the university.
Thimo von Stuckrad studied Political Science, Sociology and Literature at Freie Universität Berlin. For several years he worked at the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), funded by Bertelsmann Foundation, in Gütersloh. From 2009 to 2015 he worked as a researcher in several research projects related to the Organisational Sociology of Higher Education Institutions, Science and Technology Studies, and Higher Education Research at German University of Administrative Sciences, Speyer, and Technical University Berlin. After an engagement as Higher Education Consultant at CHE Consult and CHE, Thimo von Stuckrad joined the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) in 2019 as Head of Department for Higher Education funding, Higher Education infrastructure, medicine and public health, and sustainability. In October 2026 he will appointed Chancellor at Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin (University of Applied Sciences).
