Workshop: Responsible Research – involving Circularity and Interdisciplinarity from the beginning in the research process

Tomasz Stawski (German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) will be part of the workshop "Responsible Research – Involving Circularity and Interdisciplinarity from the Beginning in the Research Process." He will give an input on the topic „Integrating prospective LCA into the solution-driven recycling of industrial gypsum waste“ in the first workshop session.
Dr. Tomasz M. Stawski is a senior scientist at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin, Germany. His research focuses on the use of in situ synchrotron small- and wide-angle scattering methods to study the nucleation and growth of minerals from solutions. With a PhD in materials chemistry, his work spans crystallization processes, non-classical pathways, and mineral engineering. His work has particularly investigated calcium sulfates, and metal phosphates. He has published extensively on these topics, contributing to a deeper understanding of mineral formation mechanisms and their implications for geochemistry, and materials science with applications in sustainable synthesis.
