Janne J. Salovaara is a sustainability scientist and docent (adjunct professor) specialising in sustainability science as a discipline, its education and professionalism, forms of agency, and the critical approaches needed for societal transformation. His research commonly examines the foundations of sustainability and the societal organising surrounding it, combining interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspectives with both pragmatic and philosophical approaches in an emerging academic conversation on critical sustainability science.
