Tom Gheldof, who holds degrees in Ancient History, Journalism and Cultural Studies, has been Coordinator of the Ecoteam of the Faculty of Arts at KU Leuven since 2023. In this role, he works with staff, students, and faculty leadership to promote sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the faculty. Since 2025, he has also served as a member of the Faculty's Sustainability Council, contributing to the development and implementation of sustainability policies and actions at the faculty level, similar to his role as Ecoteam representative in the university’s Sustainability Council (since 2024).

Alongside his sustainability activities, Tom Gheldof works as a Research Coordinator for Digital Humanities projects at KU Leuven. His professional interests focus on supporting interdisciplinary research collaborations and the development of sustainable digital research infrastructures. His research and publishing activities include work on the long-term sustainability of digital scholarly resources. Through his work in both sustainability and research support, he seeks to strengthen the connections between institutional practice, digital innovation, and sustainable development in Higher Education.
