As part of the opening day on Monday, 21 September, Dr. Jeannette Behringer (UZH) will be part of the panel discussion about what it takes to promote sustainability in Higher Education and beyond the university.
Dr. Jeannette Behringer is a researcher in the fields of sustainability and democracy. She heads the Sufficiency Programme at the Zurich Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development and is responsible for sustainable development in research and teaching at the University of Zurich. She obtained her PhD in an interdisciplinary ETH project on climate change in which she has worked on the legitimacy of new forms of political participation in the environmental sector. Her work and research in teaching focuses on epistemic questions and transdisciplinarity, on transformative science as well as on a university culture for sustainable development.
