Laura Balthasar (German Rectors' Conference - HRK) will be part of the workshop "University Sustainability Governance in Times of Transformation and Vibe Shifts"There, she will speak on the topic „German Rectors Conference: Sustainability Governance in Higher Education Institutions: Supporting Organizational Reflection and Transformation through Peer-Based Audit Approaches“ during the second workshop session. 

Laura Balthasar is a Project Manager at the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), where she contributes to the development and implementation of the Audit “Sustainability at Universities”, a peer-based reflection and advisory process supporting universities in embedding sustainability within governance, strategy, and organizational structures. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Science and has, in her work to date, explored the potential for transformation within large public institutions, with a particular focus on participation. Before joining the HRK, she worked on sustainability reports and carbon footprint assessments for various institutions and, as a sustainability manager, has first-hand experience of the university sector. In the current phase of the audit, her research interest focuses particularly on factors contributing to successful transformation and how these factors relate to circumstances that are difficult to discern from the outside.
