On September 24, DAAD Brazil, in cooperation with the German Consulate General, will host the traditional "Dia de Portas Abertas" (Open House) in Rio de Janeiro. Freie Universität Berlin will be present as one of five participating German Universities of Excellence to inform prospective students and researchers about pathways to our university.

FU Berlin at the Event – Our Program Highlights:

• 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM | Individual Consultation at our Booth: Visit the FU Berlin booth. We will gladly provide personalized advice on your options for studying or conducting research at our university and answer your questions about programs and admission requirements.

• 2:35 PM | Short Presentation in the German Universities Panel: Under the title "Conheça as Universidades Alemãs" (Get to Know German Universities), we will present FU Berlin in a joint session alongside our partners (UA Ruhr, TUM, Uni Potsdam, and Uni Münster).

Further Highlights of the DAAD Program: The event also offers a comprehensive information program on academic exchange with Germany. Expect the following sessions (held in Portuguese):

• Presentations on DAAD scholarships for Master's and PhD programs

• Information on research funding (DFG and DWIH São Paulo)

• Guidance on visas and language certificates (Goethe-Institut)

• A practical DAAD workshop (4:25 PM) on: "How to find a PhD supervisor in Germany"

The day concludes from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM with a Happy Hour featuring German food, music, and games—an ideal opportunity for relaxed networking with us, other institutions, and alumni.
