Professors and academic staff can also undertake a professional development and training stay, for example by participating in language courses or Staff Training Weeks aimed at teaching staff.

Individually arranged training at an institute of a partner institution may also be eligible for funding, provided that it genuinely constitutes professional development and training in terms of its content.

Research stays and conference participation are explicitly not eligible for funding under EU guidelines.
