Pre-Arrival Mentoring: Online Sessions for New International Students
Are you starting your studies at Freie Universität Berlin in the Winter Semester 26/27 and have questions about living and studying in Berlin? At our Pre-Arrival Mentoring Sessions, you will receive first-hand insights and practical tips from current international students at Freie Universität Berlin.
These events are especially recommended for all international students who have been admitted for the Winter Semester 2026/27 at Freie Universität Berlin. If you have been accepted but are not yet officially enrolled, you are also welcome to join.
What to expect:
In these interactive sessions, our peer mentors – students just like you – along with an expert from the Center for Academic Advising and Psychological Counseling at FU Berlin, will share their experiences and answer your questions about:
• First steps after arrival
• Finding accommodation
• Starting your studies and university life
• Building a social network and settling in Berlin
• ... and anything else you want to know!
Whether you have questions about practical matters or just want to hear first-hand what it's like to study at our university, these sessions are perfect opportunities to get a variety of information before the start of the semester.
